We all know that all living organisms on earth require water to survive. Water is essential. No doubt.
As far as the technology goes, there are now many ‘types’ of water. Mineral water, sparkling water, distilled water, purified water, etc. I didn’t know what they are and what differ one from another. And so, I did a little research and wrote up a small summary.
I hope after reading this post, you’ll have a good idea 🙂
Mineral water- water from natural springs with a strong taste or odor due to naturally dissolved salts of calcium, magnesium and sodium. Examples: Evian, Perrier.
Spring water– water which flows from its source without being pumped and contains at least 250ppm of dissolved solids (FDA).
Artesian water– water which has come up to the surface from an aquifer, not pumped.
Purified water- water that has been deionized, distilled, reversed osmosis, or any other treatment removing minerals/chemicals/odors.
Distilled water- water that was purified by distillation process.
Sparkling water- carbonated water resulting in fizzy and bubbly water.
Soda water or club soda- unlike sparkling water, soda water was filtered, carbonated and mineral salts added (bicarbonates, citrates and phosphate of sodium).
